Google punked us

Google used librarians to build up good PR in our community for their book-oriented services.  Now the tool they used, Google Librarian Center blog (complete with newsletter), has been dead and completely untouched for a year.  Steven Cohen calls Google to task, and rightly so.  I posted about this a little while ago, as did others, with the expectation that some sort of a response would come and they'd explain.  But no explanation, and no apologies, leaving us feeling like chumps.

Sometimes it takes Google a while before they do an update. Last post was July 11, I'd say its lost steam alright.
