Wetpaint new social features

Wetpaint, a popular "social publishing platform," announced recently that it had "gone social."  So now, not only can you create a free private or public site on Wetpaint, you can connect with your site users in different ways.  What's new on Wetpaint?

Just wondering -- what, if any, are the advantages of Wetpaint over other free wikis? I have already made a couple of wikis elsewhere. Reason (s) to switch?

These social features seem to go beyond what most wiki sites offer, for starters. But having only used Wetpaint a couple of times, I don't know what the advantages are - perhaps other readers can speak to that?
