Vancouver Public Library's redesign
Aaron Schmidt recently highlighted the Vancouver Public Library's website redesign, which I think is also noteworthy. They devote a significant amount of space on the homepage to images of users - real users saying what they use the library for and then linking to that service. Brilliant! It's certainly a new way of presenting information on the homepage...and of featuring users front and center, making sure that they know they are front and center. Something about it resonates with me, and all I know is that I like it.

Thanks for the mention! Like most good websites should be, it's a work in progress and we're constantly looking for ways to enhance the services offered through our "virtual branch".
