Typographical errors in library catalogs

Typographical Errors in Library Databases (read: Catalogs) by Terry Ballard is fascinating reading for library geeks and mandatory reading for catalogers and systems librarians.  Ballard and his cohort Tina Gunther have compiled a long list of common typographical errors found in library catalogs (that's right--mistakes we've made, not our patrons).  How is this list useful? 

First, check your library's catalog for these and make sure they're not there. 

Second, if you can add "see instead" or fuzzy spelling entries to your library's catalog (which, frankly, our ILS vendors should be doing for us already), then add these.  Because if we're making these mistakes, our patrons will too.
