Tagged by the 4 Thing Meme

I got tagged twice (by Dave and by Robin), so now I really have to do this.  Isnt' the blog equivalent of a chain letter?  Aren't I supposed to be annoyed?  Ah well.

4 Jobs I’ve had in my life:

  • Secretary at a Jeep dealership
  • Calligrapher
  • Hostess at a pizza joint
  • e-Services Librarian

4 Movies I can watch over and over:

4 TV Shows I love to watch:

4 Places I have lived:

  • Hoffman Estates, IL
  • Pullman, WA
  • Urbana, IL
  • San Rafael, CA

4 Places I have been on holiday:

  • Maui (sweet, sweet sunshine)
  • Portland
  • San Diego
  • Orlando (worst trip of my life--17, unhappy, and in theme parks)

4 of my favorite dishes:

  • Brown sauce with fake chicken and bok choy over rice
  • Soba noodles with peanut sauce
  • Lou Malnati's deep dish buttercrust pizza with fresh tomato slices (huzzah!)  Anyone ever wants to kiss up to me big time, send me some of this via airmail.  The pizza in Cali sucks.
  • Sliced heirloom tomatoes from the farmer's market with a touch of sea salt and quality balsamic vinegar

4 Websites I visit daily:

4 Places I would rather be right now:

  • Maui
  • Sleeping
  • Sleeping
  • Does sleeping count?

Definitely Giordano's over Lou.

Oh, sacrilege. You will forever suffer for slighting the great and almighty Lou's!!! Actually, I noticed growing up that people were either Giordano's fans or Lou's fans...Giordano's for people who like spicy sauce and Lou's for those of us who prefer a sweeter sauce and buttery crust.

I was in Orlando (on a school orchestra trip--the horror!) when I was 16. It was awful. My sympathies!

I've gotten other e-mails and IMs from people with bad Orlando memories. Perhaps librarians + Orlando = badness in general.

Orlando isn't so bad once you separate the city from the theme park cluster. i'm sure there are many "vacations/trips gone awry" stories associated with orlando since there are so many tourist destinations, but really, the city itself does its own thing. And I know many librarians here that would take issue with your math! :)

That is true...sadly, the part most of us see is the tourist-zone. I think there's also something generally dangerous about putting a goth teenager into a theme park on a forced family vacation. That may have been what soured it for me...might not have been the locale at all.

Anything with peanut sauce is wonderful.

Professional calligraphy sounds fun. I never got beyond the sixth grade level but it improved my handwriting for a year or two, at least. ;>
