Technology for Libraries classes
Michael Porter from OCLC (aka Libraryman) is teaching a class on library technology (Keep Up! Practical Emerging Technologies for Libraries) all over the West Coast (well, "all over" except for Northern California--bah!). He'll be covering RFID, social software, RSS, blogs, virtual reference, eBooks, online learning and more. If there is a class being held near you, I highly recommend you sign up for it ASAP. They're bound to fill up quickly!

I just noticed the link here to the "Keep Up" class description doesn't seem to connect. Try this URL:

The first Portland class filled up so we got to add a second day there. Superfantstico! I'm gunning for No Cal in the Jan-Mar timeframe. The sooner the better in my mind.

Thanks so much for helping to spread the good word, Notorious L.I.B.. I'm hard at work polishing the workshop and it is turning out to be pretty exciting! I'm going to do all I can to make it to No. Cal. early in 2006 for this workshop. Much of the decision is dependant on if we can cover costs for the workshops we have scheduled now, so let’s hope lots of folks sign up not only so they can learn more, but so you guys will have a chance to see it too. Thanks again.
