Librarians Without Borders

Today Librarians Without Borders celebrated the launch of their first project: a medical and nursing library in war-ravaged Angola.  The group is based at the Faculty of Media and Information Studies at the University of Western Ontario (UWO) in London, Ontario (good ol' Canada).  Congratulations!

Yeah, they're a solid bunch who run LWB. I've had the good fortune to meet those behind the project, and have no doubt it will be a huge success. NextGen at its finest!

And cheers to UWO - my MLIS alma matar - fabulous program, well worth looking into for anyone thinking of doing the MLIS down the road.
