Teens prefer IM to e-mail

The Pew Internet and American Life Project has a new survey, "Teens and Technology," that clearly shows teens' preferences for IM over e-mail as a mode of communication.  I think that many of us knew this already, but it's nice to have statistical evidence to back up the claims of the usefulness of offering IM reference services at school and public libraries.
