IM Me

The aptly titled article "IM Me" by Schmidt and Stevens is available in the April 1st LJ.  And I don't recommend it just because they interviewed me for the article.  It truly gives a balanced and thorough look at this new reference technology:

Instant messaging isn't going to replace other forms of communication. But it can make your reference services relevant to a whole new group of users, while serving existing users even better.
