Free Stuff for National Library Week

National Library Week is April 10-16.  My library has quite a bit going on.  The PLA blog is highlighting what different libraries are doing too.  But, onto the free stuff...

  1. ebrary is offering one year of free access to 55 library science titles to ALA members.  The collection will be integrated with the American Libraries digital archive. More info is available at http://site.ebrary.com/lib/ala
  2. Gale is offering free unlimited access to 30 of their online databases during National Library Week.
  3. TechSoup Stock and Mailshell are sponsoring the "Read Books, Not Spam!" campaign to help U.S. public libraries protect themselves against spam. On April 20, 2005 all U.S. public libraries will be eligible to order at http://ga0.org/ct/Up1JO4S1pXgp/ a free, full year donation of Mailshell anti-spam desktop software for each employee.  Jenny Levine has more details up on her Shifted Librarian site.
