e-Books for Visually Impaired

Bookshare.org provides e-books and e-periodicals for the visually impaired.  It "takes advantage of a special exemption in the U.S. copyright law that permits the reproduction of publications into specialized formats for the disabled."  Folks with disabilities can register, pay a $25 sign-up fee and $50 a year, and get unlimited books and periodicals.  A talking software application is also included with membership, and the items are also available in Braille.  This is a wonderful service--link to it from your library's website!
