Re-cap of Internet Librarian

This was my second Internet Librarian, and it was, by far, the most useful and stimulating conference I've ever been to.  Internet Librarian 2003 has now moved to #2 on that list.

There were numerous sessions each day, usefully tracked, though I wish I could have gone to every single session.  That's why I bought the audio of the conference on CD-ROM.  I'll get all that techie goodness one way or another.  I will, I say!

My own panel session (Webmasters Roundtable) had great attendance.  I gave my presentation on designing a library website within a pre-set frame (something I unfortunately know a lot about).  You can get the slides from the session if you want 'em.

Illunch On Tuesday, I had a happenstance lunch with three other vegetarians: Aaron Schmidt, Sarah Hill, & Greg Schwartz (you lazy blogger you).

That night, there was an open bar reception for the speakers.  A whole bunch (though not all) of the bloggers at the conference got together for a photo.  Note: this photo was definitely taken before the open bar.  Thank ba-jeebers there were no cameras afterward.

Pictured above: Greg Schwartz of Open Stacks, Karen Coombs of Library Web Chic, Steven Cohen of Library Stuff, Michael Sauers of The Travelin' Librarian, me, Aaron Schmidt of Walking Paper, Michael Stephens of Tame the Web, and Jenny Levine of The Shifted Librarian.   Ahhh, sweet blogger goodness.

Nightscape When we were out on the fire escape drinking brandy and Coronas at the speaker reception, I managed to get this night shot of the Monterey coast--sorry for the fuzziness, but a girl who's had a martini & a glass of wine and is sans tripod was lucky to get any shot at all.
Sunrise When I woke up Wednesday morning, this was the view that greeted me from my hotel window...I can't wait for next year.
